After living a life of being “un-churched”, Pastor Parris Bailey was introduced to Christ at the Lakefront of New Orleans in 1973. Pastors Frank and Parris were married within the month and off to Bible School in California. She was just sixteen. After being directed by the Lord to return to New Orleans after graduating, they founded Victory Fellowship, which is now over 34 years old and holds services in three locations in the New Orleans metropolitan area. In 1984, the Baileys established Victory Christian Academy, a private Christian school, which offers a program of quality education for preschool through seventh grade students.
Victory Fellowship is known in the community for Feed the Multitudes, an annual free food festival that serves over 5,000 people each year on the 4th of July and Beyond the Grave, a multimedia production with the message of Christ. The production takes you on a journey through the lives of multiple students from their home to their high school. Pastors Frank and Parris also publish a daily blog called The Bailey Drink. The Baileys have four children and five grandchildren. Pastor Parris enjoys co-pastoring alongside her husband, preaching, overseeing the administration of Victory and Victory Academy, reaching out to women, and preaching in the Victory Churches with a practical message of hope, love and encouragement in the Holy Ghost!
Her latest venture is the founding of Mary’s Song Restoration Center for Women in 2009, helping women in the community break out of destructive lifestyles, and into a loving, Christ-filled environment. She also developed a line of organic skin care products, which are packaged and sold by the Mary’s Song girls.
