“Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection” -Heb. 11:35
The Bible is full of women being given a second chance. They become active in the ministry, active in their families and careers. If you haven’t figured it out yet, we women play a vital role in the body of Christ and their family! Growing up in a non-Christian home, I needed some strong role models to follow when I became a Christian. Thank God the Bible was full of them, all telling me their stories, struggles and victories. Thank God we too can be given a second chance or many chances. We are celebrating 4 years at MARY’S SONG RESTORATION CENTER! What a miracle! Some of you may have grown up in a environment that women were treated as second class or looked over. Some of you might have been in a church where the women could only teach in Sunday School and had no active women’s ministry. Or even worse have been abused or counseled by men who mistreated you or gave you ungodly counsel. Thanks be unto God that the Bible shows us how to be true women of God! Many, many times I have shared my own personal experiences as a young mother of 3 boys at the kitchen sink finding myself “caught up in my own world of depression and being overwhelmed”. God begin to speak to me out of the book of Esther that day (Thank God He gave me the hunger to read His word!) and said, “and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14) This became the turning point in my life. I needed to put off those old grave clothes once and for all and grab a hold of God just like Esther did. He used Esther even with all of her weaknesses, and inabilities just like he used Ruth, Rahab, Sarah –and I could keep going! Don’t you see everything that you have gone through in life, will be used as your testimony to His provision of mercy and grace! As we continue to graduate more and more girls we are excited to see them come visit us over time and they are experiencing restoration in their families, their lives and their children. It isn’t all for naught. Who knows, you might be like the Widow of Nain who was at the right place to meet Jesus. He can make the dead things come alive! Will you allow yourself to meet with Christ? Yes, we are called for SUCH A TIME AS THIS! We love you all!
