By Tanya Dubroc: “Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a completion to those things which were told her by the Lord.” Luke 1:45

Do you find yourself in a hopeless situation? Are you tired, worn out, and feel defeated by your circumstances and the world around you? I’m here to tell you there is hope for you! I have found myself to be in the same situation. I thought I was a hopeless case. Doomed to a life of failure with no purpose for even being alive. My number one goal in life was to destroy myself and it was the one thing in life I succeeded in. I did not trust people because as far as I was concerned, they had all failed me. And I certainly did not trust God. I was raised to believe He would punish me for every wrong I’d ever done. I became rebellious, obstinate, and self-willed.

I heard about a program called Mary’s Song. My journey with the lover of my soul began when I stepped through these doors. It was a journey of slowly being unraveled and healed by the love of my heavenly Father. God graciously brought me to a place of complete and total surrender to his will. He set me free, unlocked my heart, and released a little girl that had been imprisoned within the confines of my own heart. God healed me and filled me with the promise of the Father. His precious Holy Spirit. He enabled me to begin to believe and have faith in His words of promise to me. And faith began to arise. I was pregnant with His promises and began to sing a new song. The song of my Savior God!

“I’m bursting with God-news: I’m dancing the song of my Savior God. God took one good look at me and look what happened-I’m the most fortunate woman on earth!

God has filled me with hope and I’m here to tell you freedom and healing is possible for you. Many others along with myself have experienced the transforming work of God in our lives and now work for Mary’s Song. And we have the blessing of seeing His mighty power at work within the lives of others every day.

Commentary by Matthew Henry taken from the Blue Letter Bible on Lk 1:45: She (Elizabeth) commends Mary’s faith and encourages it: Blessed is she that believed. Believing souls are blessed souls, and will be found so at last; this blessedness cometh through faith, even the blessedness of being related to Christ, and having him formed in the soul. They are blessed who believe the word of God, for that word will not fail them; there shall, without doubt, be a performance of those things which are told her from the Lord. Note, the inviolable certainty of the promise is the undoubted felicity of those that build upon it and expect their all from it. The faithfulness of God is the blessedness of the faith of the saints. Those that have experienced the performance of God’s promises themselves should encourage others to hope that he will be as good as his word to them also: I will tell you what God has done for my soul.
