Facing your Fear in a world of addiction

They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Psalm 107:4
“There is a hunger that is so present in the world that men, women and children are wandering in the wilderness in a desolate way.” As followers of Jesus Christ, we know there is a hunger in every person that can only be fulfilled by the love of God. When that hunger remains unfed, people go searching for ways to feed it. Some turn to material things like the latest fashions, cars, houses or toys! Others attempt to fill it with drugs, alcohol, pornography, or unhealthy relationships. And there are those who try to feed it with food, hobbies, gossip, or work”. (Susan Gregory)
Revival is in the air at Mary’s Song. The girls are hungry for the presence of God! Part of our ministry here at Mary’s Song is to create a hunger in these women for the presence of God and the things of God. To fill that hungry place we feed them the right types of food physically and spiritually, like worship, the Word, love, etc. So when they are facing fear, anger, abandonment, rejection, or trauma they are sustained. Are you hungry? If so, what are you eating? You too can be sustained in every season of your life. What are you feeding yourself in the good times and the tough times?
