I came to Mary Song in August 2012. I came in to the program with my own agenda believing that I knew what was best for my life. I had no idea what God had in store for my life, but today I know is it is exceedingly and abundantly more than I could ask or think for…. and I’ve only just begun.
I graduated Mary’s Song in June of 2014, and was hired on staff as the church administrative assistant. It was a total dream job for me. A year later I was promoted to be the pastor’s assistant as well as the office manager. During this time I got connected with the Young Adults ministry and started serving in the church while working towards completing my degree in Biblical Studies through Bethesda College. I graduated Bethesda College this past June and was licensed to be a minister. I met my husband of 2 years through the Young Adults ministry and this past July we had our first baby girl Adalynn Grace. According to doctors I was not supposed to have children, but with God all things are possible.
Today I am a wife to the most amazing man of God, mother to a healthy beautiful baby girl, and a staff pastor at the most amazing church serving alongside some of the most anointed ministers in New Orleans. My story is a story of miracles. It’s not because I am a good person or I have worked so hard to accomplish these things, but rather it’s because Jesus loved me and gave His life so that I could experience His.
I’m not not perfect nor I have arrived, but one thing I do know is- I press on to lay hold of that which has laid hold of me. With Jesus it’s all a win win! It’s the whole package. I’m eternally grateful.
