And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ. Eph. 3:9

Luther said, “The Bible is alive, it speaks to me; it has feet, it runs after me; it has hands, it lays hold of me”. When the Apostle Paul speaks of the unsearchable riches of God he struggles for the right wording. Christmas season opens up to us a “world of wonder”, a brisk moment into the supernatural where God appears out of history. We try to trace his footsteps through all the dispensations of time coming to a fallen world in perfect timing. He alone creates the antidote by which man can come back to their Father. By the incarnation, passion, death, and resurrection of his Son he gives us a divine map or mystery in which life begins again. The endless depth of God and his saving acts to rescue mankind from themselves is itself unfathomable. Even the OT is full of prophecies of this gift coming to us Gentiles. They sang about it, prayed prayers over us and invited us in. Even when they missed the visitation of this Christ we were allowed to be grafted in and took this precious gift and allowed the change to happen in us.“Christmas means: the infinitely self-sufficient God has come not to be assisted but to be enjoyed.” Piper
He comes to take over all of us. No room is allowed to remain undisturbed, no vessel can hide themselves from his presence. Let my whole being be filled with His presence! Let him come with his master key and fill every space! He changes our affections and fills our mouths with good things. “Only the humble believe him and rejoice that God is so free and so marvelous that he does wonders where people despair, that he takes what is little and lowly and makes it marvelous. And that is the wonder of all wonders, that God loves the lowly…. God is not ashamed of the lowliness of human beings. God marches right in. He chooses people as his instruments and performs his wonders where one would least expect them.
