“If you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place but you and your father’s family will be destroyed, who knows perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.” Esther 4:14
The Old Testament was a foreshadow of what was to come in the New Testament. The dispensation of the Holy Spirit was imparted to specific people whom God chose for His purpose. Esther was one of those people. Now, all who are born again receive the Holy Spirit.
I was an orphan like Esther had been until Jesus turned and looked at me and called me His own and filled me with His Holy Spirit. And now, like Esther, I have been given a royal mandate! Jesus said,“Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you” (John 20:1) and “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).
When we say yes, He gives us peace in knowing that He will go with us and give us everything we need to fulfill His plans and purposes for our lives! And just as deliverance came to the Jewish people because Esther was obedient, deliverance and salvation will come to the lost because I will do what my Father in heaven has asked me to do!
WHO KNOWS?! Perhaps I have come to my royal position FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!
