New Life In Christ
Our program, consists of three phases total in which the women receive a foundation of faith in Jesus Christ, equipping them with the necessary life skills to become productive members of society.

ESTHER PHASE
Entry Phase: First 6 months
The Esther phase is the entry phase and is a duration of six months. In this phase, students will begin individual and group studies focused on Christ and His redemptive work of healing and transformation. They will also receive weekly counseling and mentoring, attend weekly church services, learn how to care for their bodies through exercise and healthy eating habits, and learn practical life skills through hands on training. Also included in this phase are weekly phone calls, bi-monthly visitation, and two 12 hour passes.

After the student has completed the Esther phase, she can elect to enroll in our Lydia Program for up to an additional 6 months.
LYDIA PHASE
Second Phase: Additional 6 months
The Lydia phase follows the Esther phase and is an additional six months. In this phase students will continue the course of Esther phase but will begin to prepare for re-entry into the workforce and pursuit of educational/occupational goals. In this phase students will begin resume building and interview training for job placement, acquire a GED or enroll in college or trade school, learn budget planning and join a life group. They will also be allowed a phone and four additional 12 hour passes. Upon acquiring a job and meeting all educational and behavioral requirements, students will be eligible to move into an apartment on campus and enter into the Deborah phase following one year graduation.

After the student has completed the Lydia Phase she can elect to enroll in our Debra Program for an additional 6 months.
DEBORAH PHASE
Transition Phase: Additional 3 months following completion of Lydia phase
The Deborah phase is the final phase and is an additional three months following completion of Lydia phase. Students in this phase have completed all educational and behavioral requirements of the following phases and have a desire to remain in the Bethesda Community. In this phase students will sign a lease and accept both the financial and ethical responsibilities of having their own apartment in the community. They will also be allowed one 12 hour pass each weekend and one 36 hour pass per month upon approval.
