I came to Mary’s Song for the first time in 2013. I was broken, grief – stricken, addicted, and traumatized. I suffered from PTSD and was diagnosed with many labels. I was raised by a parent with severe mental illness. I suffered abuse and the loss of a child. I completed ten months of the program and found myself back in 2016 in which I completed a year and also received my High School Diploma (G.E, D.) Now more recently in 2020 completed six months of the program. Having gone through Mary’s Song three times I thought there was no hope for me. I thought I was a failure and I was missing something that everyone else got. I was wrong. I wasn’t a failure; I’m a child of God and He came down with the key to my heart and un – locked it. God has loved me back to life through the Pastors and leaders here and I now have the pleasure of working at Mary’s Song and witnessing God’s redemption stories every day. I have been certified as a Therapon Counselor and going forward to receive my licensing. I am also enrolled in Bethesda Bible College.
