Holy, Holy, Holy: Forever Changed

By: JoAnna Williams

“And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” Revelation 4:8

What a grandiose vision John describes here in Revelation 4. He had an encounter that convinced him, even more, of who God is. He was able to witness the overwhelming fluorescence of God’s Glory. Every being was in their rightful positions, oscillating in one accord, yet simultaneously they remained in place. Such an amazing position, to be the one sitting upon the throne of God. One cannot begin to describe the magnitude of His Majesty. Just the thought of this closeness, takes my breath away. To even imagine yourself, encapsulated with the embodiment of God, is immeasurable.

Therefore. now we are implored to insert ourselves within this scope of possibility. That as true followers of Christ, we are seated in these very same Heavenly Places, according to Ephesians 2:6. So why not place ourselves front and center, where holiness resides?
This glorious placement would cause our being to ascend and calibrate consistently unto the Holy of Holiest. Our bodies would become perfect-pitched instruments played by the Great Composer, producing an angelically ambient worship. Whilst, the sound waves of many waters,
reverberate incessantly through the souls of His creation.

So, as we continue to pour our worship upon the Lord with great reverence and awe, we become collectively entwined with heaven. When we lie prostrate before Him, we rest on His bosom, allowing the warmth of His heartbeat to soothe our souls. Thus, causing us to be radically altered at the altar. Yes! Forever I am changed. And oh yes, it is a beautiful sight to see! So we sing, Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.
